in somewhat lighter news, a new outfit arrived from Devil Walking and it looks fantastic on me! i was worried that it wouldn't fit, like so many clothes from the internet, but it does and i'm super happy about it :)

i think drag is good and fun and enjoyable, but why the fuck does every queer gathering have to feature drag performers and performance? i went to a trans pride event and the featured speakers were all drag performers. it's strange, like coudn't they find a single trans person who wanted to speak?

Fascism arrives as your friend.

It will restore your honor, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up your neighborhood, remind you how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you.

It doesn't walk in saying "Our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."

In my work with the defendants at the Nuremberg Trials I was searching for the nature of evil, and I now think I have come close to defining it.

A lack of empathy. It's the one characteristic that connects all the defedants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men. Evil, I think is the absence of empathy.

i love that album! i love it so much that i'm usually a fan of any band that covers it well also :)

Dream Theater has a brilliant cover of the entire album, and it's one of the best homages that i've seen to it.
