Next few days are gonna be busy. Last minute prep for the trip, but a lot of things are done. Intense cramming, and rehearsals to remember chord progressions, and riffs that I haven’t played in a while plus I’m still figuring out a few parts for our new material but it feels like fun intensity

I agree, I hated hated hated making, using, and even being subjected to them. But Activision liked them, and then Ubisoft ran on them -- I found anything I said was ignored unless it had a slide deck. It was the corporate language so I HAD to learn it. I have made my peace. :)

What I've learned:

Fewest words wins. Keep text large and super brief.

Don't read the slide. The slide should illustrate what you say, not be your script.

I finally dove into building partscasters during Covid. My first experiment was a triple mini built with very affordable vintage voiced Wilkinson minis. Still surprised at how well it came out!

It is absolutely my favorite pickup. Sonically in the sweet spot between singles and humbuckers! When I finally took the risk on them, I realized this was the sound my head had been chasing.

I am more confident in our ability to pull off this year’s gig. Last year involved a lot of fear of the unknown, which was confirmed when a lot of things went wrong. This year, I’m not “ready” yet — still polishing my performance parts— but confident we’ll put on a fun show. #gratefulwed
