You have it backwards. Grunwald is laying bare the massive impact of agriculture on the climate which is often ignored and not discussed.

I did ask him. Even if you believe the assumptions, there is ample storage to sequester >100 years of industrial emissions in geologic formations. And the paper leaves out basalt sequestration, which has 100~300 TRILLION tons of capacity. The *max* we need is 3T (we emitted ~2.6T so far).

A bit of oversimplification. There is *much* more CO2 sequestration ability than needed. Basalt soils alone can store 100~200 *trillion* tons (we need 3 max). While SRM will have negative side effects, they are way less than the side effects of *not* doing it. The status quo is no longer an option.
