First thought after hearing of Diane Keaton’s death: The scene in THE FAMILY STONE (2005) when the matriarch she plays, having died, is visibly missing during the family tradition of gathering around the Christmas tree.

That scene gets me every time.😭

Despite its flaws, Audrey Rose is one of those 70s psychological #horror flicks I enjoy in a superficial way without digging deep.

It’s hard not to compare it to the infinitely better The Exorcist: troubled child, distraught mother …

But, I can think of a worse October rewatch.

Broderick Crawford gives a solid performance as an aging swindler who leads a small team of criminals that cheat the poorest of poor people of everything they have.

He shows moments of tenderness and regret, yet it’s a life he can’t escape.

Loved this film and the locations where it was made. 👍

Regarded by some critics as one of the greatest films of all time, it apparently was initially rejected by some viewers who recognized their own shortcomings and callousness in the characters.

I really liked my second viewing, yet there are numerous French films I like more.
