This is a bullshit headline in the New York Times. There’s no “uprising” in Chicago. Rather, Chicagoans are peacefully defending themselves against ICE violence. Use of the term “uprising“ is just what the Trump regime wants to excuse a further fascist crackdown in Chicago.

I work in renewables. I think of all the needed electrons that have been spiked because of disinformation and fear of the new. I think of the farmers not getting lease payments who can’t sell their beans. Taxes not going to local communities. Now brownouts. This is not a win. No one wants this.

When Brandon Johnson was running for Mayor of Chicago the mainstream press in the city was rife with “If he’s elected, CPD will collapse under a wave of officer departures.” It’s a story that is sitting right there for any New York or National reporter who wants it. So we wait.
