I get the feeling that the only remaining strategy nowadays is to make a game purposely divisive so that you get videos made about it by ragebaiters, so that the other side is like "wow, these assholes hate this game, I have to buy it!"

Death threats have become a marketing strategy.

It sounds stupid, but you can get a nice house for 50k in total if you're looking, because the owners in these situations generally just want to get rid of it so they can build something else on their land, so they'll let it go for super cheap. Empty lots are also cheap(-ish), so there ya go.

Even when it was 300k cheaper, it was still way too expensive, wtf...

Anyway, for anyone who's looking, here's a trick I learned; it's cheaper to pay for a service to move a house across the country on an empty lot than to pay for one or even build one on its own lot. You're welcome.
