You are so right. It is down to 39% in the latest Economist poll which was very favorable to Trump at the beginning of the year. Much worse than Joe Biden. And even worse that Trump is 2017 before the dementia kicked in.

Yep, I don't know the answer to the power of the right wing propaganda machine. I think all we can do is try to point out their failures. Try to find honest alternatives. And at least try to change their coverage. They only care about money. If enough viewers/readers make clear we'll not tolerate.

I agree many did. However, I think most of the people that voted for Donald Trump either don't pay attention to this kind of thing or are brain washed by right propaganda. MAGA did and continues to lie that they are only rounding up criminals and gang members. MS-13, antifa, Hannibal Lecter, etc.

I agree there is lots of outrage. I just wish there was more. When it comes to TV news and newspapers, I'd take half the "outrage" that they gave to Joe Biden's age.

AI red flags:
AI advocates feel no need to address some peoples concerns.
1) planet destroying energy consumption
2) loss of jobs
3) dumbing down of education and making the brain washing propaganda that has destroyed American democracy to be even more effective
4) divert capital from education

AI red flags: Pushing AI as a "race with China" that America must "win". If AI investment in data centers had a solid return then their would be no need to ask for government handouts.

Google, Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft are very profitable and well financed companies. Not pets.com or WorldCom. But why do they need to outsource to OpenAI? Which is not a profitable company and has an absurd price to sales valuation.

CNBC pushes AI and NVIDIA all day every day. How does this help them. If viewers buy NVIDIA and it goes up in price then they get happy viewers. Pushing AI is in their short term self interest. And if the bubble bursts then that will be even better for their rating.

AI red flags: advocates do not seem to feel any obligation to explain how AI benefits society and average people. AI is a transformative technology equal to industrial revolution and if you don't get it then you are stupid. Those pushing AI have clear near term self interest, monopoly, sell chips.
