Roofman might feel too contradictory to be a hit. On one hand it’s almost a faith based film about a fugitive finding family in a church community but he’s a hardcore criminal and the film never backs away from it. Everyone at the church he attends is so friendly it looks like social anxiety hell
Went to Roofman earlier today. Even smaller audience than The Smashing Machine. Generally pretty good with a great performance from Kirsten Dunst. The cinema was dead in general. Taylor Swift saved the movies last week. Jared Leto drove the movies off a cliff this week.

Wishing a happy 101st Birthday to Ed Wood. Ghosts, transvestites, Bela Lugosi as God, what a strange, fascinating picture he gave us. Normally Bring Her Back is the sort of thing I don’t like (not a fan of Hereditary at all) but ended up really liking it. Maybe not something I’d want to watch again though
It really seems like Trump’s developed a medieval king mentality in his dotage where getting a Nobel prize is a good work that will help buy him his way into heaven
