I've posted some recent work at davidsankey.net
Yeah that all makes sense to me. Thanks!
Your lips to God's ears etc. etc. but in the interest of managing my hopes and expectations is there anything concrete you're looking at that makes you think these outcomes are most likely?
Glad you're okay. Too many near misses in our city.
Oh wow! Can't wait to read. I'll DM you momentarily.
FYI, as much as I wish it weren't so, the one-way pairs you quoted here never came up for council vote for a variety of reasons and because of bad political actors. Fulop did well to put this on the table but the plan was half-baked and he did not do the political work required to make this happen.
It brings me no pleasure to admit but the UK eats our lunch w/r/t book cover design. Many such cases.
Which cover do you prefer? Now that I have author copies of both US and UK editions of TIGERS BETWEEN EMPIRES, I am giving away 1 of each, signed, to 2 random people who like/reskeet this. US addresses only. Will announce winners on Friday, Oct 24, 2025, before official release (Nov 4). 🐅🌍 #booksky
So short he's drowning in the shallow end
Everyone (and by everyone I mean 3 people) who spoke against the River Road project at the most recent county commissioners meeting started with "I'm not opposed to bike lanes, BUT..." and honestly it felt good that they had to prelude the nonsense they were about to launch into with that caveat
Posts, but make it under the most gorgeous hand-drawn masthead you've ever seen
I'm in the William Morris museum in Walthamstow and it's funny how this issue of his socialist magazine Commonweal is just... posts. Morris would have been a poster
Shirt I illustrated for @hudcostreets.org is out in the wild, and I love how it turned out. So many of us in Hudson County rely on NJ Transit, PATH trains, and our bikes to get around. We're one of the most densely populated places in the U.S., and our transportation infrastructure ain't cutting it.
Lakers gonna be running the wildest plays next year, eating pizza with glue on it, things of that nature
RIP, Danny Thompson. Nothing goes quite like the bass in this song, imo. He was such a pro.

Brennan and Bhalla are basically more effective as nominees than my seated assembly people have been during their full tenures
INBOX:
Jersey City/Hoboken – After Disney’s ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live off the air indefinitely, Democratic nominees for State Assembly Katie Brennan and Ravi Bhalla called on New Jersey to cancel all film and TV tax credits to networks that censor critics of the Trump administration.
Notably more shy: this Pine Warbler, Northern Parula, Common Yellowthroat, and Black & White Warbler. (I also saw a couple of Killdeer flushed by a falcon, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and Redstart).
Got to photograph one of my favorite birds this morning — a Black-throated Blue Warbler — at Reservoir #3 here in Jersey City.
I got to make some artwork for this good event, which is a nice reminder that the public space that lines our streets can be used for things other than storing cars. Stop by on Friday.
This Friday, let’s celebrate streets for people! We’ll observe Park(ing) Day, an annual, global tradition, by turning 3 Jersey City parking spaces into pocket parks for the day, featuring food, games, activities, and no-cost bike tune-ups. 1/3
Suboptimal day to release an album with a top banger with "BOOM, here comes the BOOM" as the refrain.
Yeah me and my buddy headed to the strip mall in suburban NJ and did exactly that. If I didn't get it on release day it meant the terrorists won.
