The second volume I read after COM and the last one I would read as my high school's library didn't have any of the other volumes. After that, I didn't read anything else of the series but it did stick in my mind for the longest time. But now I'm a grown man with a media thread, so it's time for a revisit to my past interests! Once again, this is an improvement over the last volume but this time it's in the character writing. There are little moments to each of them that actually give them a little more depth to them. Sure it's still limited due to the format this series with initially released in, but it's nice to see the series evolve overtime. Butterbug's back too and all he does is say "Grah!" and be the cutest creature in the entire book. Who do I have to track down in order to commission plushies of these characters because they deserve it! Reading this also made me realize how short these books actually are. I must've thought they were longer than I thought they actually were. One weakness, however, is that we're back to goth adventures. Which is fine don't get me wrong! It's just that the last volume had something more to say other than just goth adventures. But you should still read it if you like this kind of thing! Around this time, Oni Press also published what would later become their most iconic series, Scott Pilgrim. While Courtney Crumrin hasn't been entirely forgotten by Oni Press, it's still somewhat of a B-List series. It's the John Constantine of Oni Press, recognizable but put to the side for the other guys.
