Update: Had to use a third party app to dial in mouse speed and how many lines the wheel scrolls(!). Noticeable cursor movement lag on two mice, different brands, wired and bluetooth. Starting to think Macs are NOT GREAT at extremely basic computer stuff

Impressions: The Mini is powerful + efficient, and MacOS is pleasant. BUT. Mouse settings are anemic so it just doesn't feel right. And the cursor doesn't always change when hovering over links, which has apparently been an issue since Sonoma. Bleh

The newest Mac Mini is so cheap ($430 after sale + free store credit) that I'm ditching Windows. Sticking with the Steam Deck for games. Should be able to get $500 for the PC that was morphing into a Clockwork Orange Ludovico device for AI bullshit
