just watched a dozen people ask microsoft copilot experts their most pressing questions and those questions were 90% “how do i turn it off?” and “when i turn it off, is it really off or is it spying on me?”

Almost time for our #ActualPlay stream~! We're about to steal from Asmodeus. Let's gooooo

Session starts at 3pm CT, at twitch.tv/dicefunctional. Let's have some fun! #dnd

Have some thumbnail art from last session!
digital drawing of two masculine figures from the waist up. One is a red-skinned tiefling with a black fauxhawk and a dark duster jacket. The other is a pale human, bald, wearing a breastplate and looking at a pocketwatch. Both look very bored. There's a magical purple wall of energy behind them.

Oops, we're going to delay an hour! see you at 4pm CT!

Ohhhhh it's time for a D&D 5e stream tonight.

It's also time to have a lil boss fight, steal from Asmodeus, and break the game a lil bit.

Because fuck it why not.

Alex Trebek saying "the creature" on this episode of Jeopardy! from Halloween 1997

Maybe you can, all it'd take is one person on Tumblr or some other site to make some excited post dissecting the metaphor in your work.

With that said people not believing in germs is just as stupid as believing in a flat earth.

Unfortunately, negative events are just as likely to inspire as positive. Maybe more so tbh.

It's difficult to just let something like that happen and keep it with you, it just feels like it should be repurposed for SOMETHING, you know?

There are a whole lot of events like the Dyatlov Pass Incident which are pretty good pieces of inspiration.

Granted, you have to pay more attention to the speculation surrounding those events moreso than the event itself, as most likely have a simple reason.

global warming if it counts as an event. The attempts to cover up an impending disaster for the sake of profit/personal gain. some manifestation of environmentalism is common in my games.

the speculation surrounding the Dyatlov Pass Incident for wilderness encounters is also around, here and there.

Certainly not, the reality with apocalypses is that it can be something relatively small that causes it, or a space rock

And another thing related to my last post?

Yall mfs were way too willing to just roll over and move past BlueSky and the censorship issue.

The moderators are still acting like children.

They're still planning on pushing guidelines that will censor artwork.

They're still not defending trans folk.

Question for the GMs, writers, and worldbuilders out there;

What's an event that you have been inspired by when writing for your game or seeing and how?

It can be a historical event, something recent, something esoteric, whatever you wish to share with the class.

Damn, normally you gotta have the ATF around for a three letter agency to shoot someone's dog, looks like ICE is stepping on their toes.

EL PASO — a family says ICE showed up at their house looking for migrants and shot and KILLED THEIR DOG, then didn’t help them as the agent ran away and was not identified.
