What helped with the duo at the end, besides tool spam til one died of course, was the wall cling charm. Wall cling made it much easier to buy time to find openings since none of their attacks could hit there

A huge part of the fun of learning a character in a fighting game is digging into the deeper layers of their kit and finding ways to push their inherent differences to their advantage.
Why forcibly hard code shit to forcibly re-homogenize them after the fact? It makes no sense.

As time goes on, the gutting of gief's jump cancel SPD in sf6 just comes across as more and more meanspirited as a change. Not even as a matter of 'balance' but as like, thats just a natural consequence of giving a character a longer prejump, why change that NOW and get rid of that skill expression
