oh I work at an emergency vet. i know what the boss ordering pizza means. keep fighting!
Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

What you’re doing is working. Call MC & Visa.

it may got it's duty of care removed on one of the bills, but doesn’t mean the hearing is next month so PLEASE call your reps

Call Visa and Mastercard with your concerns, and take up their time.

Call your representatives about your priority for freedom of speech and creative expression, and remind them of your intent to vote for other representatives who will protect these.

Next week the House E&C Committee is looking to run something of a shock and awe campaign, debating at least 19 bills that they say are related to "protecting kids online." Most of which are actually about censorship and control. Don't buy the framing. It's always the same damn thing.

I agree and just want to add context:
Basically every interest/hobby is filtered through the idea that you need to be good at it and/or monetize it. Even single player games (100%, 1CC, speedrun, etc.)

Times are rough, but I see a lot of support for artists that aren't conventional or professional>
I think the problem is more inherently human. I think it's similar to "I HAVE to be good at drawing to be an artist" or "I HAVE to be good at an instrument to be a musician". Its hard to find people that are like "I suck at this but I have fun with it regardless"

So as it seems, EU Member State Reps have agreed to a stance on Chat Control.

While message scanning is "voluntary" now, its still an issue, and age verification/risk assessment should be opposed.(1/

Yo, if you’re from South Africa, your government is starting to have second thoughts about the AV crap.

Now is a great time to get those second thoughts materialized by calling your Senators and reps, and telling them to repeal this awful law!
Age verification news📣 is getting push back from within government with Australias days coming Senator Babet has tabled a repeal request.

In other news…if you’re in California, support this bill, and show up to ensure its passage!

RSVP is in the quoted thread.
1/3 Massive efforts are being done to ensure states do not regulate GenAI.

Regulations like CA’s AB-412. A transparency bill that terrifies Big Tech!

On Dec. 8th, there is a major hearing on this bill.

We need as many folks to show up! Come join in support of creatives!

Call your reps and tell them to OPPOSE this new bill! Tell them that this bill will not protect children, and to leave Section 230 alone!

If this bill destroys Section 230, the entire Internet will disappear, too! And yes, that will also include BlueSky!

It's highly critical we talk about bills like these.

Bluesky dies if section 230 dies, basically. And so do many, many other sites.

CALL YOUR MEPs. Tell them to vote NO on ANY message scanning, age verification, or any invasive "tools" required.(2/2)
