age verification bills are bipartisan. midterms don't mean anything. and if it doesn't pass this year they just try in january since the congressional session doesn't end on december 31st.
It honestly feels like a performance if you ask me. They know there's no way it's getting passed this year and then there's the fact that mid-terms are next year.
If they want to turn this into a mid-term issue, then that's just going to blow up in their faces.

age verification bills are bipartisan. midterms don't mean anything. and if it doesn't pass this year they just try in january since the congressional session doesn't end on december 31st.

As always: the best way to protect kids online is to pass strong legislation that protects EVERYONE from Big Tech's surveillance capitalist business model & breaks their monopolies so that people can have social media and tech tools that serve community needs.
