I never understood the point of cheating likely because I’m autistic. For me, the point of a test or assignment was to assess my own knowledge/skill so cheating made it pointless. If I hadn’t studied or didn’t understand the material I wanted my grade to reflect that.

It’s amazing how different an outcome our kids have than us because of being supported and proud instead of punished, shamed and left to figure it out on our own. It’s been healing for me to watch my ND grow up into adulthood.

I’m a physician and still get treated this way. I thought at some point it would stop. Even though I’m atop the hierarchy, because I don’t believe in it and treat everyone equally, I’m not seen as being atop the hierarchy. It’s weird. I’ll never get it.
