It is rather simple, actually. Buy and enjoy every game you want to play. But if you want to support physical media and customer rights, stay as far away from CIAB, game-key cards and incomplete disc releases. Those are clear steps away from what you want. No two ways about it.

In a stream yesterday, our friend Ricky aka Retro Game Future confirmed that Oblivion Remastered is NOT on disc. Just like Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi: Survivor, the game forces an update after the tutorial section.

As discovered by Retro Game Future, the so-called physical release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered only comes with 19 GB of data on the PS5 disc. This is far from the full game size. We are expecting a Hogwarts Legacy scenario. Stay tuned for more details.

File size suggests there is a full game on disc, but it won't let you past this screen, if you are offline. Disc is probably good enough to prevent stains on your coffee table while having a pint, though.
