It was all a blatant lie from Bethesda!

In a stream yesterday, our friend Ricky aka Retro Game Future confirmed that Oblivion Remastered is NOT on disc. Just like Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi: Survivor, the game forces an update after the tutorial section.

As discovered by Retro Game Future, the so-called physical release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered only comes with 19 GB of data on the PS5 disc. This is far from the full game size. We are expecting a Hogwarts Legacy scenario. Stay tuned for more details.

Played via Switch 2 BC. Experience a single freeze and a crash. Not reproducable, though. Good experience overall.

Totally unrelated and preceding the news of Battlefield 6 being online-only even for the campaign, EA shut down the servers for Need for Speed Rivals yesterday. Kapoof.

File size suggests there is a full game on disc, but it won't let you past this screen, if you are offline. Disc is probably good enough to prevent stains on your coffee table while having a pint, though.
