This is for PCs. The regular DOSBox Pure core works on anything Retroarch works on.

If you're a fan of Retroarch's terrible UI and always wished for an unholy union of *that* with DOSBox, upcoming stand-alone version of DOSBox Pure might be for you:

I don't think kids today really appreciate just how tryhard edgy video game marketing was in the 90s.

Ok, so I revisited "I Like Killing Flies", and it's even more awesome now that I am so much older and grumpier. Can't recommend it enough. RIP Kenny Shopsin.

I feel like I shouldn't attempt that for safety reasons.

Fellow preservationist Robert Robichaud got in touch to share that he was recently involved in a game preservation project regarding Norway's first adventure games. A great article worth checking out:

For years, Ringen was considered lost and not much was known about it. Here's the full story of the game, and how it was saved.

Yes. But I'm pretty sure all the features carried over to the launcher that is made to run all 90s Sega PC ports. The name escapes me at the moment.

Never would have guessed that the murderous driver on the Carmageddon cover comes from this old Clive Barker comic. I think it's also my first comic book reference that isn't a Marvel one. @hg101.bsky.social told me about this one. samderboo.com/tracing.php?... #TracingTheInfluence

The biggest difference is the bits are somewhat contained across a few screens each. So now it's like annoying 3D Dragon's Lair. It still kind of blows, but it's nowhere near as impossible as the 2nd game.

3rd one is not as bad as 2. They learned *some* of their lessons at least.

Apparently there was one screening yesterday and there's one tonight at the Firehouse.

I know it feels like a couple of years, but apparently it was only this past May! I'm guessing that's the remaster, and now they are looking for customers for actual theatrical screenings.

14yo son keeps coming out to quote me hilarious lines from game he recently discovered

Sam And Max Hit The Road

which I think I first played when I was maybe 15 (and had much the same reaction)

I love this for him.
