Yes. But I'm pretty sure all the features carried over to the launcher that is made to run all 90s Sega PC ports. The name escapes me at the moment.

The biggest difference is the bits are somewhat contained across a few screens each. So now it's like annoying 3D Dragon's Lair. It still kind of blows, but it's nowhere near as impossible as the 2nd game.
