We just had the first shot
The owner of the bar I'm at just promised rounds of shots for any Jays homers
Truly an achievement
Trey Yesavage striking out Shohei Ohtani and then getting him to ground out with the bases loaded in Game 1 of the World Series is a pretty amazing moment, all things considered
The owner of the bar I'm at just promised rounds of shots for any Jays homers
I imagine it's how I feel when I look at a paper generated by AI, and it has grammatical errors, run-on sentences, factual errors, non sequiturs etc
Have made jokes about catching errant baseballs at work in Toronto across from the Sky Dome. That Dodgers parking lot is grim
World Series, Stadium Edition: Rogers Centre vs. Dodger Stadium 🤔
I am correcting myself here that they want to consult on this, but it is still bad
it is very messy and undefined, just slop haha
That was my thought too...like...go down that other tunnel then I guess???
Just thinking out loud here but wonder what a province-wide rent strike would look like...
I have seen a lot of positive reaction from Americans online, especially in the baseball spaces
The chopper spotting them in the sewer through the world's largest grate? everything is ridiculous but that was particularly so. just after my head exploded from the subway train with moving platform

People can debate whether it was wise for Ford to broadcast the ad across the US, but the accuracy of the ad's message — that using tariffs to wall off American industries is not some continuation of earlier Republican ideology but in fact a radical departure — is not really debatable.
I hit a triage line in the first page of a book recently, and I continued reading to my own detriment.
"Mark petted the old dog and watched as a clear rope of saliva depended from the dog's mouth."
Yah I looked at the inflation calculator to make this joke / he was still paying slightly more than me
Me, when Al Purdy complained to Margaret Laurence in a letter about $20 in 1969 customs fees on two Harris tweed jackets: "That's no so much, he should just pay it! Worth it!"

Me, when I have to pay $125 in brokerage fees/taxes on a piece of pottery from the U.S.: "Well this fucking sucks!"
A 1993 World Series 500-level Blue Jays ticket was $32, with inflation that would be $95.84 today. But now you can go on ticket resellers and get a 500 seat for $2400 or so. Perfect example of rent-seeking behaviour, literally no value added.
Hey that's awesome! We should make time to meet, would love to meet in person!
Yeah, I was thinking to head into town, always more fun with a crowd.
In exciting news for me, I am going to the Banff Centre next week to be part of the Adventure Filmmaker's Workshop for 10 days, so I'll be cheering on the Blue Jays from the mountains. Any reccos for good places to watch in Banff?
Alas, did not score World Series tickets, and because I need to pay rent, the resellers are trop cher. Regulate Ticketmaster and ticket resellers etc.

Let it be known that some councillors were against the scramble and Toronto even uninstalled one (Bay Bloor).
At Yonge & Dundas Jays fans are obeying the pedestrian scramble, as is the custom & returning to sidewalk each light cycle.
