His girlfriend says he doesn't have the temperament to solve his mom's murder.

She's probably right.

Don't believe the lies your TV tells you: Sometimes neurodivergence makes you a much SHITTIER detective.

A DARK HOLE DARKLY

me: okay so only certain generics of Vyvanse work, the rest don't

my new provider, who is great: cool we can call this prescription in and specify a generic

the pharmacy: sorry we used to work but now we only have this other one that doesn't work

me: fine, can we send it to this other place?

If you have ADHD? Now is a great time to remove all of your old drink containers from last week off of your desk.
My personal PC desk with (counting) 19 cans of Dr Pepper or cherry Coke Zero (pictured, there's really 20) and one 16oz empty bottle of cherry coke.

It was the same three velociraptors in a trench coat going to all those screenings. I know because when I asked, "HEY! AREN'T YOU THE SAME THREE VELOCIRAPTORS IN A TRENCHCOAT I JUST SAW LEAVING?!?" they said "SKREE!" and ran away.

Maybe it's the pandemic, but I feel like history is speeding up. The last book I wrote I described as a period piece set in 2022.

Fun fact: The series was almost titled "DC UNIVERSE: CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS" with a much wonkier logo:
House ad (ran inside DC comic books in 1984) with a silhouetted figure and the words "FOR THE PAST 12 MONTHS HE HAS BEEN MONITORING THE DC UNIVERSE... WATCHING... WAITING... SCHEMING... NOW YOU WILL FIND OUT WHY! DC UNIVERSE: CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS."

(The time required to source the right pieces was the real limiting factor. If it was just "make the pieces fit" I actually have 100% faith in my ADHD's ability to knock that out.)

Me: On reflection, maybe I *don't* have time to construct large props out of lego before the author fair in two weeks.

ADHD: Or.

ADHD: Hear me out.

To be fair, the ghosts had a very intriguing backstory and the rat helped me make dinner.

Would stay there again!

ADHD Awareness Month lasts 2 more weeks, but this Itch bundle wraps up in 2 days!

Includes my latest: the ADHD detective novel A DARK HOLE DARKLY!

It's a sad, funny, and VERY personal story about neurodiversity, family trauma, cult fandom...

...and who gets to write the endings to our stories.

Happy ADHD Awareness Month! You can find my latest novel, A DARK HOLE DARKLY, in this Itch ebook bundle.

DARKLY is a comedy, a mystery, a piece of genre fiction *about* genre fiction, and a bit of a (low-key?) primal scream into the [achingly neurotypical] void.

One compromise might be to provide a lengthy opinion that includes the words "we have not finally resolved the issue."

But, y'know, I'm not legal scholar.

This is why I still have my last laptop with the broken screen! I'm convinced there might be something I need off it that I forgot to transfer!

Does it need to just be sitting there on a box next to my desk?

No, probably I should put it somewhere.

Will I?

Um.

And the witness will address this court as "judge" or "your honor." I'm quite certain *I've* earned it!

My problem was that the bad guys basically win, the good guys' rallying doesn't actually have a pay off and Peacemaker ends the season (series?) on a cliffhanger that's maybe too open-ended.

(Instead of "How will he get out of this one?" it's more "What is this thing he will get out of?")
