I did not know I needed this in my life, but I apparently did. 🤣 Perfection!

Bets it was written by a PR person with no medical knowledge? Wouldn't it be great of someone broke ranks and explained?

The noise I made reading that headline was unholy and very, very funny. (Also, it was after the decision anyway, so lol to that argument)

So... No CISA, no infectious disease capacity to report or respond... I'm a little shocked they haven't gotten rid of the military at this point. This is just ensuring the US is ripe for exploitation and attack on every front possible.

I don't know if there's such a thing as a "world cyberwar" but I think we are in one? and the US is determined to lose it. 🧵

Today the admin is mass-firing the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the nation's cybersecurity protection across all levels of government.

Now if only the people that designed game physics understood that, the jiggle-full games would be much funnier.

Attempt to pick up that ammo like that? Blinded by boobs! Also, you can't breathe now.

Running in that top? Lololol. No. Health loss immediately.

Getting rid of my Twitter account made my life at least 5% better. Why go to the bad place on purpose? No traffic is the actual harm we can do them.

And when she runs, she's definitely knocking herself out. Quite obviously none of them have ever experienced real boobs, so they wouldn't know about the terrible bouncing range.

I feel like the most frustrating part of MAGA is that it has many strains and uses language that gets decoded differently by different groups to mean what they want it to. And soaking your brain in the language long enough to get the layers drives us all crazy and then is hard to explain.

He's not personable enough to be a podcaster and given that Alex Jones just screamed, that's really an impressive lack of social function.
dsky.bsky.social
Yup. There will come a point where people actually feel what the government does in a way they've been protected from in past shutdowns.

Ugh. If you get near DC, I'll buy you drinks? This is such bullshit.

In all honesty, air travel will save us. There will come a point of not getting paid where TSA and ATC stop showing up for work. I don't know if I see a breaking point before that, but the Congress critters can't have their toys (read: luxury lifestyles) without planes in most of the country.

This is insanity

These can't be legal RIFs right? I understand it is just lawsuit city, but I want the paper.
dsky.bsky.social
I really want to see the paperwork for the RIF. I'm pretty sure they've furloughed the people who could have done the actual forms (this is the Feds - there are forms). So... I doubt this is a legal RIF?

BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:

The irony of this is that I've never left a house in Ireland without 20 minutes of goodbyes. I'm afraid to look up the term's origin now.

This describes my current night perfectly. I can't stop laughing about timing of my friend sending it.

Look, if we can make all protests inflatable suit protests, 1) a whole bunch of people can go who need to not be on camera and
2) gas masks and eye protection fit under those
3) way harder to target by racism
4) please let us have the most absurdist protest movement

My team fave of the day was "I suppose you *could* parse the data that way if you really wanted to. If you did it by hand."

My school (that had zero need of earthquake lessons?) used jello with some solid layers in it and structures on top to talk about how ground movement works. It was cool enough I remember it from when I was about 7!

No idea if it's accurate though honestly.

Dear disaster & geokin,

Does anyone have earthquake / shakeout-adjacent lessons that are fun for the preschool/kindergarten age bracket?

Seeking inspiration.
