Tonight, on behalf of Minnesota law enforcement, I filed a lawsuit against DHS to prevent the destruction of evidence related to the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti.

DHS is not above the law, and Alex sure as hell is not beneath it.

Look, I believe in casts, but if a parent has strongly-held anti-cast beliefs, they should be allowed to let their kid’s broken arm grow back all floppy and fucked up, even to the point of lifelong, debilitating pain. And that’s not child abuse because a kid’s bones are their parents’ property

Federal ones? Because if not, you basically just signed an executive order to get a hamburger through Uber Eats.

I just received a message from the girls' school about the impeding snowmapocaboogaloo and it was to alert parents that the school would send home two additional lunches with students who needed them to account for likely not having school for a few days next week.

I think my favorite part of this tweet is the idea that an ENTIRE STATE of OVER 8 MILLION PEOPLE should elect its leaders solely to satisfy the approximately FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE who work for GOP Congressional offices.

Tell me a more on-brand message than making 99.94% of the people cater to 0.06%.

We can actually predict polar vortex events now by monitoring Ted Cruz flight patterns
Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was spotted earlier today, January 20, 2026, on a plane heading to Laguna Beach as the state of Texas braces for a rare ice threat and arctic cold front.

I *think* that's supposed to be a look of happiness but tbh it looks more like Coalie is horrified by the beautiful coal mine being overgrown with those horrible flowers. Which is much more on brand ngl.
Coalie makes his (or hers? or theirs? idek) first appearance in this guide to the many roles of the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, our country’s primary coal mine regulator.

I'm old enough to remember when Darrell Issa was a pretty outspoken advocate of good government and transparency. He was a pretty fierce FOIA fighter.

That's all. That's the skeet.

Saoirse: Who invented math?

Me: When it comes to math and science, people don't really INVENT things, they DISCOVER them. But math exists whether you know about it or not. We don't know how the brain forms thoughts but that doesn't mean it doesn't still form thoughts. It's discovery, not invention.

Me: The court needs to order DOGE to secure and preserve all records from Musk's phone that he kept bragging about using to talk to people about DOGE.

DOJ: There's no need for that because <word salad>.

Judge: DOJ must preserve all records from Musk's phone and file a declaration about it.

A culture where this kind of overt we're-breaking-the-law-and-have-to-hide-it can happen and filter down the ranks and go for months before a whistleblower reveals it, as opposed to everyone immediately going "hell no that's crazy and illegal," is not fixable or reformable. Burn it to the ground.

Me: I have a brief due.
Kate: <quirks eyebrow>

Known National Security Posters know that it's worth it sometimes.
There should be a rule that if you are a Known Sports Poster you can say things like “holy fucking shit” with zero context but if you are primarily a Known Politics Poster that gets you like a two day ban
