“Is that condensation, or is the plane leaking?”
Not something you want to overhear the cabin crew say as you board a flight

William the Conqueror killed Harold II at Hastings on this day 1066. Of his Harrying of the North, one writer said: 'So terrible a famine fell upon the humble and defenceless people, that more than 100,000 Christian folk of both sexes, young and old alike, perished of hunger.'

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s angling for a change to the 2034 hosts. The pan-Middle East ‘Board of Peace’ Games. Trump Towers to provide the new stadiums

No one ever knows how to pronounce Slaithwaite
merriam-webster.com
What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

"Built as tough as the President" is a great get-out clause on their website. When it starts telling the wrong time and falls apart in 12 months they can just say 'told you so'

After queueing up to buy World Cup tickets, this is all I get. Classic fifa ticketing sites

The resale ticket prices for the World Cup are crazy. These for group games in Mexico

Farage's income from his 12 other jobs is more than twice the amount of the next highest earners, Rishi Sunak and Sir Geoffrey Cox

You can check out how much each MP has earned using our interactive: www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...

£145,000 of extra income logged since his last entry in the Spring

For the first time since April, Nigel Farage has declared his income from second jobs. I've not entered it into our system yet, but this will definitely take him over £1million in additional earnings since the election

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

The UAE is an authoritarian autocracy, a petro-state with no income tax for citizens, to bribe them for the lack of democratic voice or free speech

It is 85% migrant, a segregated society with a ban on integration in principle and practice, few rights, equal opportunities, nor voice for incomers

Everyone who advocates for turning the UK into the UAE assumes they'll be the one with a marina penthouse rather than the guy working on a building site in 50c heat
