I think WWIII is an outdated concept anyway. Nuclear weapons promptly brought an end to direct conflict between every nuclear power on earth. The kind of war we saw in WWII is now only feasible with at least one non-nuclear power, as we're seeing. What we're in is more like Cold War II.
