The most shocking thing about this book featuring S&M Nazi leprechauns is that it goes in an ultra boring “quiet horror” direction rather than being any fun at all.

I guess I did use FaceTime once to chat with my fam while I was on a solo vacation, but it’s definitely not something I’ve made a habit of.

I don’t even like to talk on the phone at great length, so the idea of doing this with someone I don’t know personally raises my hackles some.

Sad to be bringing this NIGHT SHIFT reread to a close. It’s about as perfect a collection as one can write, in my estimation. Time for THE BOOGEYMAN, one of the only stories that gives me the willies.

I have only one laser disc, which my girlfriend got me years ago, and it’s the pilot episode of Twin Peaks.

It’s a super easy writing trap to fall into when just writing off the cuff, but I think those “had”s need to get weeded out more often during revisions.

Once past-tense is established, I don’t think “had” needs to keep being used over and over again.

Also, I might just be nuts.

I just fired up The Haunting of Hill House ‘99 version for a bit yesterday, and was stoked to see a Virginia Madsen appearance.
