In the theory so far, the BoP is in Egypt, somehow directing a technocratic group within Gaza. But Unrwa is telling us it'll take 15 years to clear all the rubble (and where des that go?) so sites will be somewhat theoretical. There used to be farms and gardens in Gaza.

It occurs to me that the Doctor's polyethnic identity in recent times recontextualises Peter Davison's casting in quite an interesting way.
(For context, although you'd be unlikely to guess it by looking at him, Davison's paternal family is Guyanese. He has close relatives who are visibly Black.)

He contributed demands and bullying. Nothing in the plans seems to be new or his (the DRC-Rwanda "deal" seems to rest heavily on previous African Union/UN work), but it might well be true that current developments wouldn't be happening without his bulldozer impression.

BBC News being told that the Arab plan is the future for Gaza

The future is being constructed in parallel strands, and there'll be negotiations (absent collapse) for much longer than Trump's attention will hold.

He'll just pop his head up if there's a big moment to stick his name on.

The 20 point plan is a composite of several plans that have been discussed since January and before.

Arab countries and Turkey have been increasing pressure on Hamas for months - bullying.

What finally made the difference was Israel attacking Qatar, which made Trump bully Israel.
