In all seriousness though, after the green shoots at the back end of last season, where we had a decent run-in, made the playoffs and looked like a team on the up, it is disappointing that we have violently lurched back to being catastrophically shit.

The ordeal with that cancelled flight fiasco to Connacht last week has clearly really taken it out of the lads. I really hope we sue the shit out of the stranded Ryanair passengers who tried to make it difficult for us to leave the flight before take off. This result is on them.

I am crippled with envy at Irish statehood and its emergence as an economic success story, with a government eager to spunk money and tax breaks on rugby union.
