I bloody love rugby league for things such as this. I pay monthly to Leigh RLFC lottery, these activities have been part of RL clubs for years and continue despite Leigh being a top 6 pro club these days. My number has come up this month and they've sent me my £5 prize in cash in the mail.

Worst thing about these results is how the two worst results are the World Cup games when Townsend bad about 3 years to plan for them.
Ireland are in Week 5. And he has NEVER beaten them in ELEVEN games.

With credit to Ireland, who at times of that run have been arguably the best in the world... not all of it. And a lot of these games weren't close-run things where Scotland were simply beaten by a better. They were shambles.

It seems pretty plain that this is a generationally gifted group of players raising their game for a 'local derby' and not some magic of the coach.

And even if it were, even if you were to lay all the credit at Townsend's feet rather than Russell's boot...

It's one game a year. The job is more.

Like I'm not usually down with snitching, but thank the lord the Swedes were there with their hidden cameras. Like the Stasi, except that they're goodies. Three cheers for Sweden!👏🏼🥌🇸🇪

Fuck the Canadians though. I was rooting for them recently in the geopolitics but now I hope Trump annexes them.🇨🇦👎🏼

The IRFU have had to limit replies on every post, including Edwin Edogbo, due to the blue tick racist filth.

When you look at the account locations — USA, UK, or "proxied" — alongside the Irish sadcases.

Everyone in real life is delighted for Edwin.

Really enjoyed this*, Gav was iconic back in the mid-00s.

Also, he discusses being autistic, which I wasn't previously aware of. But now I can claim to be the same as a World Class rugby player. 😌

(I stopped playing at 15/16. Too small, couldn't see etc)

Compare how often LRZ died on the ball today, compared to the French back 3, who all created scores by keeping the ball alive in improbable scenarios. They weren't bigger than us, just better, faster and smarter.

I come back to this because there is a chasm between the ability that our players and the French are have to play through contact. It is a problem that goes right down to junior age grade. Welsh lads taught to go to deck, rather than staying their feet and battle to keep it alive.
The cutting edge the French u20 team has over us is their ability to play the ball out of contact on their feet. Our lads looking for the deck far too quickly and have less facility keeping the ball alive through contact.
