LOL Sometimes I wish the JLA was as good as their maxi-seres. It was Marvel's Watchmen. (In story and tone only, I mean it was very good but not Moore good.) The Mink, their catwoman allegory was a waste to kill off in one issue.

Avengers #5. The team go to rescue a crashed passenger plane. But are confronted by the Squadron Supreme. Who claim they're imposters. This leads to the government revoking security clearance and giving them 48 hour to prove they are the real Avengers or be arrested.
