Your Party binfire down to a low smoulder. For today anyway. Tomorrow, who knows...

Yes. During the Liz Truss minutes.

From Sunday, Brexit will deliver a big highly visible slap in the face. Hopefully that will bring it deservedly back into the news.

From Sunday, travelling into Europe gets tougher for Brits.

New EU border rules mean fingerprint scans, photo registration and longer queues.

This is the real-world cost of Brexit - more hassle, more red tape, more delays.

He's already executing Venezuelans in international waters by blowing up their boats.

Trump didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize. Hold onto your hats!

Can we expect a "LET THE WHOLE WORLD BURN!!!" Truth Social post from Trump if he fails to win the Nobel Peace Prize?

(And the invasion of Norway.)

Great. Now Labour plan to hand the IDs of 13-year olds over to hackers as well as those of adults.

(There's no way the database won't be hacked, right?)

Now wait until the same thing happens to BritCard digital IDs.

Putting all our most private eggs in a single fragile basket is a disaster waiting to happen.

Depends. British Rail was rubbish. The privatised railways were also rubbish. It's not clear that going back to a state monolith will improve things.

It satisfied the orange man-baby for about half an hour.

There are arguments against nationalising certain industries. The idea that the state can always do better is for the birds.

But when it comes to the water industry, we KNOW they're a bunch of greedy polluting sharks. So why the government haven't stepped in to snaffle it up is a real puzzle.

First steel, now pharmaceuticals. Looks like Starmer's quickie surrender deal with the USA was built on quicksand. Not even worth the paper it was printed on.

When you're not in anyone's tent any more, you become the lions' chew toy.

We would have no worries as EU members.

Starmer and Labour need to stampede in the opposite direction to Reform and the Tories, otherwise it will get very crowded on the right and further right.

If you can't see how this will end, then you're not paying attention (not least to what's going on on the other side of the Atlantic).

Ah, I never knew that. Thanks. In a sense, that makes the story even more fun. Imagine coming back to that news!

Something refreshingly pleasing about this story.

Imagine knowing you're nominated, but going hiking anyway.

Absolutely — focusing on real issues like healthcare, wages, and public services resonates more widely than chasing the same anti-immigrant rhetoric as Reform. Labour’s best path is to reclaim the centre-ground with practical solutions rather than getting dragged into culture war distractions.

Neither of those choices are better leaders.

Least-worst scenario (there is no "best", only more grim or less grim ones).

Both Labour and the Tories do very badly in next year's local elections.

Both parties boot out their leaders in favour of more electable people.

Consequence: support for both goes up, draining support away from Reform.

Badenoch's intro video is scenes from the Robinson march interspersed with footage of migrant boats.

Labour have decided there's still a teeny tiny risk of getting too many votes. To be absolutely safe, they're setting fire to another big batch.
