Fieldwork in Astipalae island in Greece to track Amorgos Tsunami (1956) which is the largest in Mediterranean Sea over the moderne period. Waves reach 30m of elevation!
We sample Sediment cores in Vathy Bay and on land to find onshore and offshore tsunami deposits.

It will give ice thickness (~22m) and shape of the summit without ice! ⛰️

Next step: dating basal ice, possibly the oldest in the Alps!
