Her measurements are:
17 inches to the shoulder
21 inches around her chest
19 inches from the base of her neck to the top of her tail

$**** Sad update on Lottie **** On Monday morning, we dropped Lottie off at the vet in the hope of getting some answers about what was going on with her hips. What we discovered has shocked and upset us all. As Lottie is older, we asked for blood tests to be run before her anaesthetic to make sure it was safe for her. This raised an issue with her liver function, which was quite severe. At that point, the vets were not happy to put her under a general anaesthetic, so they performed a scan. This highlighted a very serious issue, and it was decided that some X-rays were needed. This in itself was a risk, as she would need mild sedation — and with her liver issues, this was quite dangerous — but we needed the information they could give us. The X-rays brought catastrophic news. At some point, several years ago, Lottie had suffered a major trauma, leaving her with devastating injuries. The X-rays showed that both her femoral necks had fractured, and she also had a previously broken leg. But the worst was yet to come — she also had a diaphragmatic hernia that had allowed her liver, spleen, and some intestines to move into her chest area, reducing her lung capacity and crushing her heart. It’s truly amazing that the only issue she currently has is with her liver function. (These are all untreated injuries.) After consulting with two other vets, a decision was made that surgery was not an option due to her compromised liver function, the age of the injuries, and their severity. The risk of trying to repair the hernia was extremely high, and the three vets we spoke to all felt that her chances of surviving such a long operation — and the numerous follow-up surgeries she would need — were almost non-existent. We all agreed that it’s about quality, not quantity, and that we want Lottie to have the best chance at life she can have. Lottie is happy, comfortable, and still loving life. She is gaining weight and, for now, will be staying with her foster home while we decide on her…$

Jimmy 6 month old rough coated Lurcher, he's full of energy and loves to run and play, needs a playful dog to live with and is ok with cats, kids 8+, has great recall, needs training continued, more info/adopt him from www.lurcher.org.uk

With her foster family, Elsie enjoyed a walk around the grounds. The Autumn colours are starting to look wonderful, however Elsie was much more interested in looking out for squirrels 🙈😂

Elsie is booked to have her heart scan on 20th October, however in the meantime she is on a week's holiday in Shropshire. Elsie was rather confused yesterday when her foster mum called in at 'her' service station on the drive up, as Elsie has never seen a motorway service station as posh
