(also they have animal-esque partners. Cybermen have the Cybermats and later Cybermites. While MFC has Cloud Haetae Cookie)

It is funny that both are kinda similar.
But the main different is that while the Cybermen "upgrade" people into themselves and the ones who reject it are killed.
While Mystic Flour Cookie just wants to people to be apathetic to their own existence so they'll embrace the idea of dying.

Cybermen are Apathetic.
Mystic Flour Cookie' thing is Apathy.

One of Cybermen's reason to convert humans into them is to make them unable to feel any kind of pain.
Mystic Flour Cookie wants to erase other's suffering by making them apathetic so that they allow themselves to return to flour.

The weird idea that when I first saw Mystic Flour Cookie's sprite of her darkened face with a simple smile. The "Proudly" expression.
And I'll admit, it reminded me of the Cybermen, in particular the 2013 design.

But thinking about it, Cybermen repress people's emotions during conversion. Apathy?
