Yes, guilty. His name is Monroe.

I almost forgot to post this absolutely cursed #Caturday pic.
A wildly stretching C of a cat on a rust-colored ottoman. The cat resembles a furry albino Gumby or a nightmare by Hieronymus Bosch.

Thanks! I do have plenty of athletic shoes. Today I was specifically looking for a shoe that would be comfortable but also work with dressier outfits.

I can't judge: I binge watched Love is Blind: France (for the language, totally...🤭)

Well at that rate, I'm going to be murdering a zoo.

I am leaving for Paris in 8 days. Today I have prepared for the trip by: trying on brown Adidas low profile sneakers at two stores and not buying any; looking at suitcases in two stores and not buying any; watching the second episode of Emily in Paris; taking a nap.

The inside fit difference wasn't quite as noticeable, but I'm still feeling unsure enough with Adidas sizing to buy the pair I was looking at online.

Men's sizes might be closer. A 7.5 men's Vans is a 9 women's, but a 7.5 men's Adidas is an 8.5 women's. (Which is why I ended up comparing Euro sizing and measuring my feet.)

Now that I'm in a store, I can tell you what was actually throwing me for a loop online: Adidas vs Vans women's shoe sizes.

My Vans on the right vs an Adidas Samba on the left, both a women's size 9.
The soles of two very differently sized size 9 women's sneakers

Me, having a totally normal Saturday morning.
Two overlappimg human foot outlines and two side-by-side human foot oulines drawn in pen on paper.

I'm feeling this because I gave up on reading War of the Three Kingdoms for a couple of years because the first copy I bought was written in a weird continuous present tense that was exhausting. (I eventually found a less popular translation that didn't have the same problem.)

My brain kindly woke me up before I had to carry two large metal chairs up a flight of stairs in my dream, but also woke me up at 5am on a Saturday.

I am torn between Detroit (I've been to at least two Tigers' home games) & Seattle (my dad's team).

Having not watched a MLB game in person since the 1990s, and knowing nothing about this postseason until I downloaded this bracket, I am firmly rooting for the Cubs to beat the Mittens.
A MLB post season playoffs bracket although I'm not sure playoffs is the right term for baseball.

Something, something, sportsball, I'm fairly certain. 😂

During the work week I sometimes watch half a movie one night and the second half the next night. I’m also good at watching movies on planes. 😉

I actually like the black beans and rice & would not balk at black beans and rice ice cream.

A person could, theoretically, get takeout from Skyline Chili and Graeter's on Bardstown Road for the same meal.

Not me. But someone else should... for journalism.
