Welcome new followers, I don't know how you found me, all I've done the last few days is sleep (#LC) but you're all welcome 👍
Tanaaz said this morning that 2025 is the year of endings.
I fear we're nearing the end with Milou too, taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I think it's a matter of days/weeks not months. She's 15, she's been there through all the ups and downs and moves, I don't know what I'll do or be without her.
Tabi is fine, we're taking Milou to the vet tomorrow 🙏

As genetic and geological evidence has mounted it is slowly becoming apparent to Australian scientists that Aboriginal stories have passed extremely detailed information down tens of thousands of years with stunning accuracy
I was taught that oral history was unreliable, that if it wasn't written down you couldn't rely on it. I'm so glad to see that these racist assumptions have been cast aside and that scientists are now working with First Nations communities to document their truths.
How a song cycle led scientists to hidden dinosaur tracks
From dinosaur footprints to volcanic eruptions, First Nations knowledge is helping to drive modern science.

Something nice today, 2nd day of not being able to do anything bc my chemically burned fingers, my 2026 #planner arrived via M. isn't it pretty!?
it's currently moving at 2mph 😭
Oh Mexico, where, in an ordinary shop, you have a choice of 96 blenders; 28 microwave ovens; 6 toaster ovens; and today's surprise 1 food processor.

My heart goes out to all the people in the path of this monster.
I got this too a couple of weeks ago about a book I published 2014. Blocked him.
not my photo, but M saw an opossum in our driveway the other night and it made me ridiculously happy 🧡hope it sticks around💚 they have such a sweet fruity tooth😊
Yesterday was a bitch of a day. Occasionally I think I ought to start doing some sort of exercise. Then I wonder where I'm gonna find the energy to get upstairs and into bed after a whole day of doing nothing 😑 #CFS #LC #disabled #PEM ?

If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.
🧡🪔Happy Diwali everyone 🪔🧡
Another rainy day in C'cun, but my love is calm and snoozing next to me on the sofa so I won't move. Work will have to wait, these moments are too rare to pass up. 🧡Milóu 🧡

all this ceaseless rain is fuelling a ton of mosquitoes and overflowing laundry baskets 😒
I'm a self proclaimed pluviophile, but it's been raining and flooding for 2 almost 3 week and the coming week is looking much the same. I'm tired of 98% humidity, the laundry is piling up, nothing dries, mopping every day, the smell of mildew and mold. Can we have a break to dry out, please?
Bonus Question: If you could make any book go viral right now, what would it be? A book you think deserves more attention and why. BEING ACE by Madeline Dyer, stories by Ace authors and from an ace perspective; and the Josephine Fox series by Claire Gradidge, cosy historical mystery.
