I was laid off back in April, but it’s really sad to see the rest of the office go.

At the beginning of the year the office I worked in at HHS had around 140 people. Our workload was full - in fact we were fairly understaffed and could have used help. By April we had roughly 100. Triage time - too much work, but loved the work. After 4/1 there were 40-60. Today there are 20.

It’s important to point out that people RIFd today will likely be put on administrative leave. Even if a court issues a stay, it’s unlikely that they will be taken off admin leave for the duration of any lawsuit (with some exceptions).

One time my best friend was watching Moneypenny and she thought MP got lost. Searched for MP for a couple of hours. Finally gets ready to call me and tell me the bad news, sits on the couch, and quickly learns that Moniez was napping under a blanket the whole time.

It is impossible for the people receiving insurance to defraud this system. The only fraud that can exist here comes from the insurance companies themselves and providers.

Murkowski says the ACA subsidies that are set to expire are "not insignificant," but also that what families are going to pay is also "not insignificant" if they expire.

She says they should "work toward some reforms," suggesting that there's "waste, fraud and abuse" in the insurance marketplace.

Medicare is no longer covering telehealth visits.

Congress has not extended the coverage given during the pandemic, and with the government shutdown that extension is unlikely anytime soon.

So elderly patients on Medicare can no longer take medical appointments from home.

It breaks my heart to see my pups in pain and struggling. I also want to try to preserve the chance of them keeping as many teeth as possible. I’ve tried to keep up with their dental health, but they both have deeper issues that require special work.

As many of you know I lost my job in April. I was very lucky and found a year long fellowship after a few months, but I can barely make ends meet right now. I’ve also had to hire a lawyer for my MSPB appeal, which has been expensive & I don’t know how I’m going to pay them.

I know I don’t have many followers on here, I haven’t been the most active member of the community, and I HATE having to ask for help, but both of my pups are having dental issues and insurance won’t cover it. Would people donate to a go fund me if I made one? #uglydogs
