It’s finally here. The colors are so bright and perfect. The publisher said yes to matte black card edges! I cannot believe how nicely this came out. Llewellyn knocked it out of the park here.

ive said this before, but the dissonance of marketing AI as an absolute source of unlimited intelligence (the implication being some sort of factuality or neutrality), while a few very wealthy humans manually carve it to say the things they want, should be ringing alarm bells for everyone

Also, when I made us dinner she watched me go, “I’m not going to do anything fancy though, I have store bought salad dressing,” and then make the salad dressing and also everything else from scratch anyway, so some genetics and habits really do pass on.

My mother saw the pile of books on my kitchen table and said, “Ah, you are your father’s daughter.” But then she asked me why I was reading the big War and Peace and if it was actually good. I tried to explain that I started it as a joke because of Baldur’s Gate 3, and she didn’t know what that was.

This also indicates the essential dishonesty of saying “it’s just a tool.” A hammer is a tool. Nobody writes about the “inevitability” of hammers. Nobody has ever studied the harmful effects of hammers on learning and concluded that teachers must all hit their students with hammers “responsibly.”
