Today, the @yesshelterptbo in #Peterborough celebrated the completion of critical repairs (and a new generator) to enhance their services.

For the last 25 years, YES has provided vital support to youth and families in crisis, offering stability, support and hope.

Thrilled to be elected vice chair of the incredible women’s caucus.

Delighted to be appointed to the Agricultural and Agri-food Committee.

As a farmer, I will champion the riding of Peterborough and Canada's farmers, who have been long-standing pillars of Canada's economy.

It's National Nursing Week! This year's theme: The Power of Nurses to Transform Health. It honours the expertise, compassion and impact of the more than 478,000 nurses across Canada who are shaping the future of care in the health system. Thank you so much to all the nurses out there!

Thanks to RCMP Inspector Tim Dell'Anna for being part of the ceremony, and to the Rotary Club of Peterborough Kawartha for holding this important event.

Yesterday, I attended a citizenship court re-enactment ceremony, led by Justice Alan Ingram (Retired) of the Superior Court of Justice. Grade 7/8 students at Adam Scott had the chance to publicly state their love for and allegiance to Canada.

With Dr. Piggott's background working in the northern region of Labrador on Rural & Remote Health, as well as his many years already at the helm of @ptbopublichealth, I know our communities will continue to benefit from his leadership and expertise.

A pleasure to meet yesterday with Dr. Thomas Piggott, the Medical Officer of Health and Chief Executive Officer of the Haliburton Kawartha Northumberland Peterborough Health Unit to talk about rural health issues.

Standing with Curve Lake First Nation Chief Keith Knott, other local dignitaries, and community members, we listened to powerful expressions of grief and solidarity. As the Member of Parliament-elect for Peterborough riding, I will continue to listen and learn.

After taking a moment to catch my breath after the campaign, it was important to me to attend today's commemorative ceremony marking Red Dress Day - the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirited People - at Peterborough City Hall.

This might be the most important election of our lifetimes, and I need your vote to make sure our community and our country can benefit from the steady, experienced leadership of Mark Carney.
emmaharrisonptbo.bsky.social
Today is the day! Polls open at 9:30 AM and you can vote until 9:30 PM tonight. April 28th.

I have loved connecting with so many people throughout the riding AND welcoming members of the LIberal family to Peterborough to share how amazing this community is!

Building Canada strong starts with our workers. Under Mark Carney’s leadership, a Liberal government will invest in apprenticeships, union training, a $15,000 upskilling benefit, and modernize EI—so workers thrive in healthcare, manufacturing, construction, tech, and beyond.
emmaharrisonptbo.bsky.social
Canada needs a strong economic plan, and Mark Carney’s plan is ready: a $5B investment in trade infrastructure plus smarter ports, secure supply chains, and more jobs across the country.

We’ll trade smarter, not harder—and build one Canadian economy that’s strong, sovereign, and self-reliant.

Wearing the Team Canada jersey taught me that big goals need teamwork. Building more homes, faster, will take the same effort. A Mark Carney Liberal government will unite all levels of government, builders, and communities—because every Canadian deserves a place to call home.

I couldn’t resist the Cookery section at the Friends of Peterborough Library’s Spring Book Sale yesterday.
It was the perfect way to prepare for the Mac’n’Cheese Festival.

Thanks to everyone who create community events like these, and thanks to everyone who stopped to say hello!

We will not only unleash the private sector by reducing costs and red tape, we will get the government back into the business of affordable housing – partnering with workers and industry and using Canadian products.

This is how we will #BuildCanadaStrong
emmaharrisonptbo.bsky.social
People at the doors have been clear - we need to address our housing crisis.

A Liberal government will build homes Canadians can afford and, in the process, create a new industry that can take on the world.
emmaharrisonptbo.bsky.social
Projects will include clean energy, homebuilding, digital, community, and healthcare infrastructure, as well as funding to make workplaces and public spaces accessible.
