+The original cast had 2 Asians (1 East Asian and 1 Southeast Asian), a biracial girl(?), an Egyptian, and the other 6 are white...
It also doesn't help that the show clearly favored a cast with lighter skin tones...+

I made my own Madoka Magica Girl. I gave her darker skin since, with a series with so many magical girls, Magi Record included, there seems to be a lack of girls with melanin.
