There are f’ing TV ADS for the SCORE Act?!?

Don’t buy their bullshit. Every single org invested in and working toward equity for and investment in women’s college sports are working to REJECT the SCORE Act.

Pass it on - NO to the SCORE Act.

KT’s gotta land one of these open head coach gigs.

I’ve got my lists right because I have never seen a post of hers native to this platform. And now I have her muted.

Thanks for that.

So what’s your ranking?

I’ve only gotten a couple pieces of mail and maybe a text or two over several months.

Any Saint Paul voters have a strong case to vote differently than:

Melvin Carter for mayor
Yes on school levy
Yes on administrative citations

That reminds me I need to grab some tickets. As much as I hate that the Pac 12 collapsed, I don’t mind an easy chance to see USC and UCLA play.

Between ICE and the price, is anyone going to any World Cup games in the U.S.?
nrarmour.bsky.social
FIFA keeps saying next year’s World Cup will grow the game’s fan base here. But Super Bowl-esque ticket prices aren’t the way to entice new or casual fans, let alone families.
As always with FIFA, greed wins out.
FIFA cheapens 2026 World Cup by pricing ordinary fans out of games | Opinion
After super-sizing the 2026 World Cup by expanding it to 48 teams in 2026, FIFA is jacking up ticket prices, excluding middle-class families.

I had about five different things I started to post about how fucked up this is and I’m just gonna not give it anymore attention because JFC.

Actually, is that similar? Maybe not. But, clearly not a coincidence that the “poorest” owners are the ones at the table.

Similarly, while I hope the broader conversation around the players’ demands in the CBA continues to shift focus towards Adam Silver and NBA owners, it’s also notable that the vast majority of team owner reps on the bargaining committee are from teams that are *not* owned by NBA owners.

And most people involved (especially casual fans) weren’t old enough to have experienced that. Most of the owners who inherited their money are old enough or have parents who were on the other side of that, though.

And I’m often conflicted as a fan. I want these women to be equitably respected and invested in, but I hate leaning into the extreme capitalism of how that is conferred or reflected.

I really appreciate the foregrounding of the actual labor economics and history, not just the “drama.” It’s easy to blow it off b/c the athletes’ jobs are our entertainment, but it’s a real workers vs owners thing that’s also very present in the story of the recent success of women’s sports broadly.

There were probably other signs along the way but honestly once they gave it to Obama, it became pretty meaningless.

celebrating the Nobel Peace Prize going to a woman, despite it going to a pro-genocide leader with close ties to the Trump administration, is peak 2025 “Feminism”

I feel like at this point the more I hear from her, the less I want to hear from her.

Regardless of my appetite or ability to do anything about this particular thing, it’s still pretty fucking bad. Which has been true of all the things we’ve seen this year. It’s all been shit.
ericamauter.com
Given what we’ve seen the entirety of this year I think we’re doing ourselves a disservice by not expecting the worst. By the time we know which version it is, it’ll be too late.

I have zero faith in the conservative machine broadly. Why else would they buy this company in the first place? It can’t possibly be just to save those folks from getting buried by those lawsuits.
ericamauter.com
That seems really bad.

I've been wondering why Dominion Voting Systems suddenly reached settlements with Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and One America News.

Turns out, it's been purchased by a Republican-owned election tech firm that insisted on it, per Axios.
