Two Russian figure skaters will be able to compete as neutral athletes at the Milano Cortina Games. And one is coached by Valieva’s coach, so I’m sure that won’t cause a fuss at all!

After first 30, Marco Odermatt leads (duh), RCS is 10th and Kilde in 20th

RCS still 10th after most of top guys finish. Pretty good considering he nearly bit it.
Two skiers in and there’s already carnage at the bottom of the super-G course. Ryan Cochran-Siegle hooked fourth gate from bottom, managed to save it. Austria’s Eichberger DNFs in same spot.

Aleksander Aamodt Kilde races for first time since horrific, life-threatening crash two years ago. Was 16th when he finished, but time irrelevant today.
Fiancée Mikaela Shiffrin watched from finish area. Big smiles from both when he finished.

This is a bummer. The Swiss star is the reigning Olympic champion in super-G, and she was third in the first GS of the season.

First Team USA camp with Kara Lawson. Looks as if she’s trying to evaluate the newcomers, which makes sense.
The JuJu addition is interesting since she’s still recovering from the torn ACL. But good to bring her in because when she is healthy, she won’t be able to get to camps during the season.
