When I was in... 6th grade ('92), my Health teacher showed us an old (not sure from when) propaganda video where someone argued: living with a bird is more of a cancer risk than smoking.

He was saying dander is worse than cigs.

As a recovering alcoholic, gambling scares the fucking shit out of me. And I learned my limit thanks to losing a bet playing a video game (MMO). No one says that about drinking.

"I found cheap, obtainable liquor thanks to WoW!" said no 15 year old. But Kevin Hart probably got a tween to gamble.

LLMs don't lie. Robots aren't bound to the human construct of truth.

I got into it with someone convinced an LLM found an errant source. He literally could not grasp that the LLM *was* the errant source.

udm=14 sets the google tab to "web", bypassing the "AI" answer.

nfpr=1 doesn't override your search with what it "thinks" you meant. Not 100%, but better than before.

I really believe if you stick with what we currently have, after given better options, you don't actually want change

2. If you can afford it (time/money/effort), and you want to go, what benefit would being cheap offer you? Will the time/money/effort saved by not going, go to something better?

Did you do the audio for the other JDatE books? Stephen R. Thorne is a wonderful narrator, and I love him for the JDatE books...

... but Nick Podehl's narration on Spiders just drips of talent. Regardless of if you like Thorne's work better, the man is just DAMN good at what he does.

Learning how many people jumped to book 2 after only watching the movie surprised me. It makes complete sense, but it still surprised me.

I really enjoyed hearing from the guy that read the books first time in reverse order. It drove home that yes, it can work and lose very little.

I was turning 11 the year Zelda: ALttP released in NA. Over 30 years later the community is still finding out new things about it. I'd still be playing it regardless, but it's worth noting that any good game can be practically timeless.

When I see people admonish someone for coming into "their" mentions (like you actually own anything on this platform), it doesn't makes sense if they rely on that engagement so the algorithm can push their product.

You don't want "social" media. You want infomercials with comment sections.

I've gotten blocked for trying to start conversations. Which, by the way, is fine. Utilize your blocks and mutes, they're there for that reason.

But there seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of what social interaction is, for every platform to be filled with everything BUT socialization.

Social media seems to be very lacking in the "social" department. I see people talking *at* or *to* other people, but not with them.

I've seen people with literally 100x my follower count, and the same engagement (0). That's not "social" media.

This will be a void scream, but fuck it.
