(and I’m so glad you said this, bc I cannot STAND the art style of One Piece (I find the mouths and facial expressions grotesque) but some hard-core One Piece fans in my life think I’m exaggerating when I say it’s physically painful for me to look at).

Yeah, we don’t get any holiday “bonuses” in the US, but our $2000 assets limit was introduced in 1989 and would be over $10,000 today if it had kept up with inflation 😑

In the US if you’re on SSI we’re not allowed to have more than $2000 of any kind of assets / savings etc - COMBINED.

TWO THOUSAND 🇺🇸 DOLLARS IN TWENTY-TWENTY FIVE.

It’s forced abject poverty.

(And people wonder accusingly why so many homeless people in the US are disabled & vice versa 😒)

The reality is we are forced to live in legislated poverty.

Barred from earning or marrying without losing our meagre benefits.

Yeah, I became severely disabled w/ chronic illness at 37 & I joked I was “37 going on 87”…

10.5 yrs later I’m now homeless & I’d very seriously want off this ride if it wasn’t for my cat who has been w/in 10 feet of me 99% of her entire 10 years of life. Everyone else will be fine. Sad, but fine.

The reason for the GoFundMe is to buy a used mobile home (even those start at $85k in these 3counties!) & put it on land friends will rent to me until I die.

I literally said “It’s not for everyone.”

I simply advocated for ppl to do some reading (or even watch vids from edu creators like Chill Polyamory if you don’t like reading) to see if it might be.

The ETHICAL part of it is that everyone involved is enthusiastically participating, not pressured. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Either that or if you still really love each other, read up on polyamory. Not enough ppl understand the ethical loving relationships that are possible if you stop believing the religious brainwashing that monogamy is the only way to live. It’s not for everyone, but it’s def for a lot of asexual ppl!
