i put fountain pen ink into an isograph and taped it to a plotter

a super low quality photo of super high quality paper, with some extremely messy robot drawings in a gorgeous petrol blue ink. clearly some nighttime engineering is going on here. a roland dxy flatbed pen plotter's test pattern is being drawn, uppercase and lowercase ascii, and a simple demo of a bar chart. it's sloppy like if you asked two people to coordinate drawing by pulling in different directions at once. the lines are inconsistent, too wet in places, skipping dry in others. but the ink, the ink sings

I write “&” this way:

Handwritten Ampersand in the shape of capital cursive letter E with a vertical strike (akin to the dollar sign)

Allegedly, the word "ampersand" comes from the alphabet reciting which was smth like (...X, Y, Z, &.): ...“Ex”, “Why”, “Zed”, and per se “And”.

“and per se And" > andpersand > ampersand.

“&” was the last letter of the alphabet.

And... I have bricked the sensor somehow, just by sending USB read requests 😂. Now I am curious what a spaghetti code does the controller of this device have, if it can't handle a thousand of slow read requests without bailing out. Any X-Rite ECCM2 chip devs here?
