"'They’re spending more money than I would even tax them,' [Mamdani] said in an interview with MSNBC last week."

This is the message. Make it clear that these billionaires aren't just worried about losing money. They're worried about losing the ability to exchange their money for power.
Warfield station is outta commission.
Highway 3 closed Nancy Greene junction to Castlegar due to car crash. Detour through Rossland via 3B. Serious injuries so will probably be closed for some time.
Drive BC upgrades are awesome. Every time I think of something useful they could add, they already have, and are like, turn on the layer, man. Hehehe
"you can play those games in other neighborhoods," seems like something nobody would ever say.

One of the best and most differentiating things @bsky.app could be doing right now is requiring some sort of identifier for AI videos and taking down any videos that aren’t correctly labeled.

He works for the Corporations. He doesn't work for the people. That cool $8 Bill to Irving right off the bat...
There's someone fishing in hip waders who matches the description.
Lots going on involving Kayakers and public trying to figure out if the person got out. Marine rescue going to US border and conducting search sweep back upstream
Report of someone jumping into the Columbia River in Trail, fully clothed. Trail Fire Rescue has launched their Marine Rescue.

Here’s why 40 inches of rain is possible:

Higher temps allow the air to hold more water vapor. (Think about how it’s more humid in the summer). The more water a hurricane holds, the more rain it releases

Hurricanes are also moving more slowly now so they just sit over land and dump all that water
Hurricane Melissa which is en route to decimate Haiti and Jamaica rapidly intensified to category 4 storm. Rapid intensification is a hallmark of climate change, but that category is only a measure of its wind speed. It is also expected to bring up to 40 inches of rain
you know that a lot of us know you're selling us short, for your corporate overlords, right?
I hope Canada's DART team is keeping an eye on this and ready to go.
Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, are getting some gnarly weather incoming.
