all of this kinda took me by surprise since i know they are not bigots or apathetic in any way, something must have gone really wrong here and they probably are now “stuck” between a rock and a hard place

by exclusively making video content on their channels since i think their mission of repairable upgradable open hardware is extremely valid, but i don’t have decision power on stuff like that at all

it seems unrealistic that any company (by virtue of it just idk needing to be stable even just because they have employees to pay) would retroactively engage in an actual ideological war especially against what by now is, willing or not, a part of their consumer base, they can only set better

if this is the case i can understand how hard it is for them to manage all of this, the best course of action moving forward would be of course stop endorsing that damn distro and also focusing on supporting other alternative ones (they have supported bazzite for a while now), i think unfortunately
