KING OF CUPS #tarot -watercolor and ink on paper 50th tarot from the 78 card square-o tarot deck i made 5 years ago for my 20202020 ( @floatingworld.bsky.social ) daily drawing book where all cards first appeared in https://floatingworldcomics.com/shop/art-books/20202020-by-farel-dalrymple Based off the original Pamela Smith card depicted as a young person in a white suit, with a crown on their head, seated on a throne and holding a cup in their right hand and a sceptre in their left. Here is a person who is "all heart", warm-hearted and kind. The image has some reference to the sea which is pictured surrounding the throne, and a stylized dolphin and ship are depicted in the background to its side. The King of Cups believes in using diplomacy rather than force, but can be tiresomely devious if you cross them, as they usually are big on emotionality. The King of Cups almost always represents a good mentor for a querent who is actively involved in the creative arts.

The horse and rider stand before a stream while some fish swim in the air behind them. If the card is upright, it represents change and new excitements, particularly of a romantic nature. It can mean invitations, opportunities, and offers. The knight of cups is a person who is a bringer of ideas, opportunities and offers. He is constantly bored, and in constant need of stimulation, but also artistic and refined. He represents a person who is amiable, intelligent, and full of high principles, but a dreamer who can be easily persuaded or discouraged. Reversed, the card represents unreliability and recklessness. It indicates fraud, false promises and trickery. It represents a person who has trouble discerning when and where the truth ends and lies begin.
