Nuremberg-based illustrator Sina Simbürger has posted some lovely comics, but they seem entirely siloed at Instagram and Threads. Kinda wish there was a standalone personal site I could link to; this stuff is good!

Anyway, click below or just Google her name I guess. 🤷

These pages look pretty cool!
This book! Always conceptually fascinating, but here - not only an interesting take on the mess time-resetting multiverse crises would create, but such a powerful exploration of the experience of losing someone to their loss of memory. beautiful & sweet

@scottmccloud.bsky.social Just noticed this title card refers to Steamboat Willie as a “comic” and I immediately thought of how Understanding Comics defines the difference between “cartoon” and “comic”.

In my intro Making course, a favorite project, students pick 3 comics authors that inspire, influence, aspire to be like to mimic for a comic about themselves for "autobiographical influences". Some stellar examples from this time around 1/3

I had the immense pleasure of seeing this (and beyond) in its early stages. Read and keep reading. This is storytelling in its most urgent and grounded form.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!

Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

if there was a rich person with the will, you could build the most incredible news organization that has ever existed just from the wreckage of this year alone.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
