Mum & Art of Note
Today is the anniversary of Mum’s death. She died when I was 10. I went to a ballet thing while she sat at home, at the end of hope & when I came back she gave me a little handpainted trivet with a ballet dancer on it. Later that night she was taken to hospital for the last time 🧵
My lovely mum - sepia photo Mum’s death notice at Bretby Crematorium. Featuring the midwive’s crest - more painting and calligraphy I was inspired by, the dna of a lot of my art is swathed in sadness It reads: Clark, Pamela Christine SRN SCM Constantly loved and always remembered By her husband. Children, family and friends: Lived and worked by her midwives motto "Life is the gift of God." Called to higher service.
